The Test of Essential Academic Skills, also known as TEAS, is a standardized, multiple choice exam for student applying for a nursing program in the USA. Its purpose is to determine the ability of potential students to adjust to a nursing program.
- $60 for a remotely proctored TEAS appointment. This fee is not refundable.
- $70 for the TEAS itself and paid directly to ATI.

Create your account at ATI Testing selecting FL Gulf Coast U TEAS to send your scores to FGCU's School of Nursing.
The TEAS is proctored remotely every Friday. Authorization to start testing will be granted strictly only between 10 AM and 11 AM.
TEAS will not be proctored July 30th and August 27th.
No authorization will be granted passing 11 AM EDT and you will have to wait until the next available day to test.
If you would like to test another day, email us and we will do our best to fulfill your request.
We recommend to set up your testing environment at least fifteen minutes before your appointment time. Make sure these items are clearly visible when asked to provide a panoramic view of your surroundings.
An online calculator will be available for specific questions only. Physical calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed during testing. For those questions in which a calculator is allowed, there will be one provided online.
You are allowed to use ONE piece of scratch paper and ONE pencil during your test.
Students must provide an acceptable and not-expired form of government-issued photo identification with signature, webcam photo, and e-signature verification before beginning an assessment. Read our Rules and Procedures.
The ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, is designed specifically to assess a student's preparedness entering the health science fields.
You will have 209 minutes to answer 170 questions set up in a multiple-choice format with four-option answers, and evaluates your class readiness in the areas of: Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage.
