A Step Above Perfection (ASAP)

A Step Above Perfection is an organization that performs African American stepping. Rooted back to the mid-1900s, that produces complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken words and hand claps. 

Black Student Alliance (BSA)

The Black Student Alliance (BSA) designed to enhance the awareness of issues facing the Black community both on and off campus, as well as promote the development of all students. BSA strives to be very active on campus, providing programs of interest, and enjoyment for the student body as a whole, not just the Black population. BSA is one of the Original organizations founded at FGCU under the name of Organization of Students of African Descent (OSAD). Caribbean Student Association (CSA)

CSA aims to provide social, cultural, and educational activities for the community. The Association is open to people born in the Caribbean, people of Caribbean ancestry, and to all students who are interested in Caribbean culture. 

FGCU Chapter of National Society of Black Engineers

Our objective is to stimulate and develop student interest in engineering; to endeavor in the advancement of the ethnic minority engineer in professional industry, and to increase the number of culturally responsible African American engineers. 

Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA)

The FGCU Gender Sexuality Alliance is one of the largest Registered Student Organizations on campus that primarily focuses on safety, raising awareness,education, community activism, fun events, and fighting for LGBT Equality! 

Gender Equality Organization (GEO)

To Provide an Accepting Atmosphere to Discuss and Raise Awareness About Issues Regarding: Gender, Sexual Orient ation, Inclusivity and Marginality, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Diversity, Sexual Health, and Oppression and Liberation. 

Haitian Student Association

Haitian Student Organization's mission is to promote, educate, and share the culture and history of Haiti, to all students at Florida Gulf Coast University. Our goal is to raise awareness about the Haitian community. 


Hillel is the largest Jewish Campus Organization in the world. As the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, Hillel provides opportunities for students to explore and celebrate Judaism, its holidays, customs, and culture. Serving as a medium for Jewish life on campus, Hillel works alongside with several Temples in the Fort Myers and Bonita Springs area. Hillel also has a partnership with other religious and cultural organizations on campus and works closely with Multicultural Student Development to enhance Jewish student Life. Hillel helps students find a balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human by encouraging them to pursue tzedek (social justice), tikkun olam (repairing the world) and Jewish learning, and to support Israel and the global Jewish people-hood. Hillel hopes to create an engaging community of learning, fellowship. 

International Organization

The mission of International Organization is to help bring together students of various cultures and nationalities and help them get acquainted with FGCU, all the while learning from their various backgrounds and creating a caring community. 

Latin American Student Organization (LASO)

The mission of Latin American Student Organization is creating awareness and promote the Hispanic culture on campus, and to help Hispanics and other minorities in need in our community. The goal should be achieved through the Hispanic Heritage month celebration ending with the Latin Ball, volunteering with various non-profit organizations during the year, with our weekly mentoring program, the Miami Trip, and an end of the year celebration.
