The MSN Nurse Anesthesia program is no longer accepting applications. The program is transitioning to the Nurse Anesthesiology (B.S.N. to D.N.P.) in 2020.
The Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) requires that all students matriculating into a nurse anesthesia educational program on January 1, 2022 or thereafter be enrolled in a program approved by the COA to award a practice doctoral degree. COA has approved the FGCU DNP Nurse Anesthesiology program and the first doctoral cohort will begin May 2020.
Further information regarding this transition may be obtained by contacting the program at (239) 590-7505 or via email to rspiegel@fgcu.edu.
Disclosure: Programs Leading to State-Regulated Professional Licensure or Certification
All applicable FGCU academic programs prepare students for licensure in the state
of Florida. Requirements for licensure and certification vary by profession and by
state. Students should check the licensure requirements for the state they plan to
work in before enrollment at FGCU. Please review the FGCU State Authorization webpage
https://www.fgcu.edu/stateauthorization/ to determine whether your program meets licensure requirements in your state.
