Graduation Checklist

Any Commencement information will be sent to your EagleMail email account. Please check your email for any updates, as well as the Commencement Homepage



 Summer 2021 

  1. Meet with your advisor to review and verify degree requirements and complete the Application to Graduate on GULFLINE. 

  2. Applications to graduate for Summer 2021 must be submitted to GULFLINE starting December 15, 2020 but no later than June 25, 2021. If you fail to meet this critical deadline, you will not be allowed to graduate and register for Grad Walk on August 8.

  3. Be sure to include your correct mailing address on your Application to Graduate.

  4. Clear any financial holds on your account that will prevent you from receiving your diploma and transcripts. Holds can be viewed on GULFLINE.

  5. Complete the 'Exit Interview' through Financial Aid if you have received student loans.

  6. Complete and submit Service Learning hours by June 30, 2021 by 5 p.m.

  7. Complete the "Summer 2021 Graduating Student Survey" which will be emailed to students eligible to graduate. 

  8. Once you have submitted your application via GULFLINE, you must register online to participate in the August 8th Summer 2021 Grad Walk at Alico Arena. Registration will open soon.

  9. Order your Commencement Cap and Gown through the University Bookstore. Last day to order cap and gown is TBD.

  10. The Office of Adaptive Services wishes to congratulate all students who are graduating this semester.  If you personally will need assistance for Grad Walk, please contact us at adaptive@fgcu.edu or call 239-590-7956 to advise us of your ceremony time and the accommodation(s) you need. 

  11. On Grad Walk day visit the Center for Academic Achievement table in the candidate line-up area to complete a "Graduation Gram."  Take a few moments to thank a faculty or staff member who has helped you on your FGCU journey.

  12. Please update your contact information so we can share information with you after graduation.

Fall 2021 Checklist

  2. Applications to graduate for Fall 2021 must be submitted to GULFLINE starting December 15, 2020 but no later than September 24, 2021. If you fail to meet this critical deadline, you will not be allowed to graduate and participate in the Fall Commencement ceremony.

  3. Be sure to include your correct mailing address on your Application to Graduate.

  4. Clear any financial holds on your account that will prevent you from receiving your diploma and transcripts. Holds can be viewed on GULFLINE.

  5. Complete the 'Exit Interview' through Financial Aid if you have received student loans.

  7. Complete the "Fall 2021 Graduating Student Survey" which will be emailed to you (students eligible to graduate). 

  8. Once you have submitted your application via GULFLINE, you must register via GULFLINE to participate in the Fall 2021 Commencement (TBD) and request tickets for your guests. RSVP will begin on (TBD).

  9. When registering for Fall 2021 Commencement (TBD), you will be able to request tickets for guests to attend the ceremony. The number of allocated tickets is based on the graduating class. 

  10. Order your Commencement Cap and Gown through the University Bookstore.  

  11. Guest tickets will be emailed on (TBD).  More details will be emailed to student email accounts.
