Program Overview
The M.A. in C & I: Educational Technology is a virtual (i.e., all classes are taught
online) program that provides advanced study in education and training and is designed
to service both K-12 and business and industry environments. Students who wish to
obtain a professional teaching certificate will need to take additional courses.
Admission into this program involves a holistic view of a potential candidate’s overall scholarship. Please note that this program does not require GRE or MAT results for admission consideration. If, however, a candidate’s GPA falls below the required 3.0 average during his or her last 60 hours of undergraduate work, the college committee MAY ask for other substantiating evidence of scholarship including reporting of one’s score on either of these examinations.
While the majority of the courses in the M.A. are generic in nature (i.e., they are not aimed directly at K-12 or business and industry) assignments generally take into consideration student's goals and area of interest, which include instructional design, instructional technology, and educational media, among others.
