Eagle Fund

The Eagle Fund is a student managed investment portfolio of actual stocks and bonds.

By managing these investments under the guidance of industry partners and faculty advisors, our students gain invaluable hands-on experience using state of the art financial services technology. Skills gained in the program prepare our students for challenging positions in industry.

Real experiences managing real money

The Eagle Fund (FIN 4934) is a seminar in security analysis and portfolio management. In this class, students will experience the actual investment management process by analyzing and investing designated funds into a variety of securities.

The Wasmer, Schroeder, & Company Trading room

The Wasmer, Schroeder, & Company portfolio trading room, located in Lutgert Hall 1205 in the Lutgert College of Business, is a state-of-the-art finance, trading, and research laboratory. The room features 11 Bloomberg terminals at dedicated PCs, four 80-inch LCD monitors to display lecture and presentation content, and a streaming stock ticker. In addition, the room is equipped with video/audio capture technology, with a motion-sensing video camera and two microphone sound bars. The trading room is primarily used as a finance research lab for undergraduate finance majors and MBA students. In addition, this room provides a classroom meeting space for the Eagle Fund and the Financial Policy course, the capstone finance course in the LCOB finance major. The trading room is also used for special events, such as executive committee meetings.
