While in the Occupational Therapy program, I participated in internships at CCPS, a behavioral health center, and Physician's Regional. These experiences allowed me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of concepts learned in the classroom by applying them to real life situations. It was great to network with professionals in the field and learn from their experience. I will be a stronger clinician thanks to my internships. ”
Participation in clinical internships is a critical part of the nursing program here at FGCU. This experience has allowed me to develop my confidence, technique, and critical thinking skills as a nursing student in a real hospital setting. Being able to be apart of the care team as a student has shown me the responsibilities I can expect to take on when I graduate and there is no better preparation I have experienced thus far. ”
Working for the office of service learning and civic engagement as a trip leader here at FGCU has been vital to developing my leadership and communication skills! ”
