With faculty and staff members from across campus, we work together to foster student scholars within their disciplines. We support student research, creative endeavors, and scholarly activities as ways to enhance and professionalize student skills in writing, critical thinking, and information literacy, which are foundational skills to successful, impactful, and meaningful lives.
STEM Undergraduate Research and Internship Symposium
Call for Abstracts is now available for the Tenth Annual STEM Undergraduate Research and Internship Symposium to be held Friday, December 4th from 3:00 – 6:00pm.
If you are an undergraduate student conducting STEM research or participating in a STEM-related internship, you are encouraged to present your results at this year’s symposium. This venue will give you a chance to discuss your research with faculty, other students, and community partners. Deadline for abstract submission is Thursday, Nov. 12th.

Showcase of Undergraduate Research Experiences
This one day event has students sharing their experiences in research/scholarship or creative endeavors through oral presentations. Attendees will get inspired by learning about other students’ experiences and learning about research/scholarly opportunities offered by FGCU faculty.
Quality Enhancement Plan
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) advances the skills of writing, critical thinking, and information literacy within majors and thus creates a culture of inquiry that begins in the first year with Composition and concludes in the senior year with the Capstone course.
