A bioengineering major at FGCU who minors in biology and chemistry, Recker has been named a 2021 Barry Goldwater Scholar. The preeminent program is dedicated to fostering the next generation of researchers in the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics.
Carolyne Mesa, Honors College Alumna, has been selected as a Fulbright Finalist for the English Teaching Assistant Program to Uzbekistan.
Two Florida Gulf Coast University students have been awarded a prestigious undergraduate scholarship committed to developing the next generation of researchers in the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics. FGCU junior Alex Marsh and sophomore Grace Anderson are 2020 Barry Goldwater Scholars.
For the second consecutive year, an FGCU undergraduate has been awarded a prestigious U.S. Department of Defense scholarship intended to attract and groom some of the nation’s brightest future scientists.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ernest F. Hollings (Hollings) scholarship program is designed to: increase undergraduate training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education and foster multidisciplinary training opportunities.
