Dr. Sheep publishes research in organizational and individual identity, organizational paradox, creativity and innovation, work-home balance, business ethics, and the communicative constitution of organizations. He has published his research in top journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies, Human Relations, and Journal of Business Ethics, and has won several internationally-recognized research awards from the Academy of Management, the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the British Academy of Management. He is currently Associate Editor for Human Relations, and he has authored numerous scholarly and practitioner book chapters.
Prior to entering academia, Dr. Sheep served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and as ordained clergy who led several non-profit religious and educational organizations. Dr. Sheep also serves as a research consultant and conducts leadership/governance workshops for several large domestic and international organizations. He enjoys electronic music creation, swimming, and cycling as hobbies.
